CRAB Manor Hotel, the sister operation of the Crab and Lobster restaurant at Asenby, near Thirsk, is in the running for a national award.
The hotel has been shortlisted for a Catey Award, the Oscars of the catering and hospitality industry.
The hotel is one of three to be selected by trade magazine, Caterer & Hotelkeeper, for the best independent marketing campaign of last year.
The winner will be announced at an awards dinner at Grosvenor House, in London, on July 3.
The hotel is operated by David and Jackie Barnard.
Mr Barnard said: "I am delighted to have been shortlisted for this award.
"Recognition by peers within your own industry is the ultimate honour, and Jackie and I are very much looking forward to the awards dinner next month." The Barnards opened the Crab Manor Hotel in December 1998 to run alongside their Crab and Lobster restaurant.
Set in its own landscaped gardens, the hotel has 12 bedrooms, modelled on famous hotels from around the world.
For example, guests can opt to stay at Raffles in Singapore or Bird Island lodge in the Seychelles without having to leave the UK.
