A PAGE Three model said she had no idea who her new football superstar boyfriend was when they first met.

Former Miss Great Britain, Leilani Dowding, met Newcastle United star Kieron Dyer at a London nightclub.

She said: "He was very friendly and we got on really well, but it wasn't until the end of the evening that I found out who he was. Of course I read the papers every day, but I don't know much about sport, so it came as a bit of a shock.

"When I found out, we started joking that I had been in the papers on Monday, and then he was in the following day, so we had two days in a row.

"I suppose a Page Three girl going out with a footballer is a bit of a clich, but at the moment we are just having a lot of fun. We enjoy each other's company a lot. We have been seeing each other for a couple of weeks now. It is a bit early to be talking about love, but I'm in a relationship I am very happy with, and I hope it carries on into the future."

Leilani said: "I am hoping to visit Newcastle in the next couple of weeks to see some friends based up there. I have heard that the nightlife is pretty good, so I'm looking forward to coming up and hitting the town."
