NORTH-EAST soldier Guy Ridley took part in the Queen's official birthday celebrations.
Guy, 23, a former pupil of St Bede's School, in Lanchester, County Durham, was among the members of the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, performing the Trooping of the Colour in Whitehall, on Saturday.
He has been with the regiment for five years and will ride in the Troop's Detachment C sub-section.
Guy has competed regularly for the Army in showjumping and cross-country events.
