BUSINESS is booming for a Durham recruitment consultancy.
Contract Human Resource Services, formerly part of Contract Construction Services, was formed by Ian Storer two years ago. Since then it has doubled turnover and increased profits 15 fold.
In its first full year of trading (1999/2000), the company achieved pre-tax profits of £12,000 on turnover of £2.5m.
The company closed the last financial year with a £190,000 profit on turnover of £5m.
Mr Storer, 35, attributes the company's success to a number of key factors, in particular the decision to diversify into commercial recruitment with a new division, Contract Commercial Services.
Plans for the next year include the establishment of further divisions dealing with different recruitment sectors and expansion into new offices in Durham to accommodate the growth in staff numbers.
