A 14-year-old North-East girl who was missing for three weeks has been found.
Police in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, were becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Kirsty Richardson, who had not been seen by her immediate family since May 29.
She was last seen at her mother's house in Kimbleworth, near Chester-le-Street.
Originally from the East Midlands, it was thought that Kirsty had been unhappy in the North and might have returned to her native Nottingham.
On Monday afternoon, Nottinghamshire police found Kirsty at a house in Clifford Court, in the Radford area of Nottingham.
She was taken to a police station in the city before detectives from Chester-le-Street travelled down that night to pick her up.
Kirsty was at Durham police station yesterday being interviewed by officers about her disappearance.
Her mother has been informed of her safe return to the region
