A RADIO DJ is to open a conference on the threat to young people's health posed by alcohol.
Metro Radio's evening presenter, Wayne Tunnicliffe, welcomed Friday's event at the Customs House, South Shields.
Called Young People And Alcohol - What's The Harm?, the conference is organised by Tyne and Wear Health Action Zone.
"Being a DJ I get to see the best and worst of people having a night out. Unfortunately, the worst is usually associated with alcohol. It's good that we're having this event to talk about the effect this can have on young people's lives," he said.
