A firm that began as a one-man operation has confirmed plans to expand.
Turnover has increased by nearly 50 per cent at Northern Select Foods, in Catterick Village, North Yorkshire, and management has announced a bid for bigger premises and a recruitment drive.
Managing director Michael Harrison, who has also unveiled a new company logo, said: "Our enlarged site will allow us to continue to move forward in supplying a greater range of products to a larger number of catering outlets."
Warehouse space has tripled since the company opened in 1992, supplying bacon and gammon to the hotel trade.
The stock list at Northern Select Foods extends to 700 items.
Local specialities include cheeses from Swaledale and Wensleydale, as well as eggs and bacon from farms in the area.
