HAUGHTON School, in Darlington, face a trip to Easingwold in the quarter-final of The Northern Echo/Local Heroes Under-15 Schools Cricket Cup.
The winner will be guaranteed a game at Durham County Cricket Club's Riverside ground in the semi-final on July 11, as part of a festival of Schools cricket.
Haughton easily beat Barnard Castle by eight wickets to make it through to the last eight. Easingwold had an equally emphatic 51 run win against Ripon Grammar School.
Also through are Boldon who beat Monkwearmouth by nine wickets.
Fyndoune School, in Sacriston, earned a home tie against Sunderland's Castle View after beating Hartlepool English Martyrs by seven wickets.
