William Orton Cup - Dawdon surged into the semi finals of the Boddingtons Durham Coast League's Under-18 William Orton Cup with a 72-run win at home to Peterlee.
Batting first, Dawdon realised 124-6 due in the main to Craig Price whose top-scoring 65 included one six and eight boundaries. Maddison returned 3-26 and Peart took 2-26 for Peterlee.
When the visitors responded, they were all out for 52 and almost half the runs were scored by Auton (25). Mark Ewart returned the magnificent figures of five wickets for two runs in 3.1 overs, Neil White captured two wickets conceding just one run in two overs and Graeme McBeth had 2-22 from four overs.
Bill Quay also reached the last four with a 17-runs success at home to Silksworth. Anthony Trotter (28) and David Pritchard, with 25 not out enabled Bill Quay to total 103-5 before Silksworth were sent back for 86 as James Phillips took four wickets for only 20 runs.
Castle Eden had just two runs to spare against South Hetton. Naylor, with figures of 2-23, was the best bowler for South Hetton when the home side were restricted to 81-6.
Shaun Bradbury led South Hetton's reply but despite scoring 35 his side was all out for just 79 as Danny Bell captured three wickets for 21 runs and Danny Evans had figures of 2-17.
Aidan Vout, with 55 and Chris Milne (56 not out) propelled Murton to a match-winning 135-1 at Boldon CA who responded with 121-8 which included 42 by Moore and 27 by Karl Bellerby.
The draw for the semi finals, to be played on Wednesday June 26 is: Bill Quay v Dawdon, Castle Eden v Murton.
Federation Special Durham Senior League Under-18s
Durham City crashed to 21 all out against Philadelphia at Bunker Hill when the combination of Robert Day and Mark Moore proved too strong. Day returned the remarkable figures of four wickets for four runs in five overs and Moore, who had made his first-team debut at Phili, claimed five stumpings.
William Orchin, Brian Telfer and Scott Logan all took two wickets and in reply, Philadelphia won with nine wickets intact.
Felling, too, conceded just one wicket winning at Seaham Harbour who batting first, realised 96-7 with most of the runs coming from Adam Young with 26 and Umer Akhtar (25).
Vinton, Connon and Woodhouse all took two wickets for Felling who won easily as Harrison carried his bat for 35 and Vinton contributed a similar total.
After Richard Smith, 30 not out and Forster (33) had provided most of the runs in the Gateshead Fell total of 89-3, South Shields won by four wickets as Johnnie Wightman finished undefeated on 27. Four of the seven wickets fell to a very whose impressive spell cost just 18 runs.
Eppleton's Dixon was another player to impress in his team's nine-wickets win at Whitburn. He claimed a hat-trick in figures of 5-17 and Andrew Beston returned 3-6 when Whitburn managed just 69 of which Paul Marshall contributed 30. An undefeated 34 by David Lowther helped secure an easy win for Eppleton.

Memorial Trophy
Gateshead Fell will host Hetton Lyons in the final of the Federation Special Durham Senior League George Peacock Memorial Junior Cup which will be played on Thursday, July 26.
In the semi finals, Gateshead Fell defeated Chester-le-Street by 29 runs when Phil Taylor produced a man of the match performance. He scored 21 and Johnny Foster carried his bat for 23 when the Fell totalled 95 for the lost of three wickets.
Taylor then starred with the ball and in five overs captured four wickets for just 19 runs. With Richard Kidd taking three wickets for just seven runs in five overs, Chester-le-Street were surprisingly restricted to only 66.
South Shields totalled 83-3 visiting Hetton Lyons who won in the last over with seven wickets intact.
The Readers Durham County League Under-18s
Hunwick's early batsmen were in fine form at Ushaw Moor but the rain caused the game to be abandoned shortly after the home side had commenced their reply.
Keegan, with one six and three boundaries in 54 not out and Pratt, who carried his bat for 42 with five fours, propelled Hunwick to 124-1 and an intersting second half was in prospect until the weather intervened.
The same fate was suffered in the match between Langley Park and Willington who were 45-4, 100 runs short of the Langley Park total of 145-5.
Peter Caulfield recorded two sixes and five boundaries making 42 and Christopher Davis struck one six and three fours scoring 37 for Langley Park.
In other matches, Bishop Auckland were 55-5 against Tudhoe, Brandon had made 42-2 visiting Evenwood and Darlington RA realised 63 without loss in their home game with Etherley. In all three games, however, the only winner was the rain.
Foster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League Under-15s
The Sacriston batsmen were again in exhilirating form at home to Crookhall and the formidable total of 176-3 from only 20 overs was posted from the scoreboard.
Gary Kirk carried his bat for 60, Jason Watson contributed 58 not out and Martin Hubber scored 29 before Crookhall were all out for 88 which included a top-scoring 20 from Griffiths. David Appleton and James Booth had identical figures of 2-8 in the Sacriston attack.
Marcus Peart (26) and Richard Smart (22) top-performed in the Burnopfield innings which realised 131-5 at Whickham for whom Wright claimed three of the five wickets to fall for 34 runs. Responding, Whickham were dismissed for 54 as Smart took two wickets for six runs.
Daniel Lintern was in good all-round in Greenside's 28-runs victory over Ryton.
Batting first, Greenside ended with 90-4 which included 25 by Lintern and 22 from William Stacey which for Ryton, Bates had the impressive figures of 3-15. Ryton never got to grips with their task and were restricted to 62 all out as Lintern returned 3-13, Lewis Hardy and Stacey both took 2-13 and Sharz Ali had 2-14.
