Second Division club Shildon have re-signed their former striker Nigel Bolton. Bolton started his career at Dean Street, and was their top scorer before he moved to Darlington for a brief spell.
When he returned to the Northern League, he appeared for West Auckland and Tow Law, from where Shildon have signed him.
Shildon boss Ray Gowan said; bringing Nigel back to the club is a great signing for us, because he has done well no matter where he's played."
Gowan is also close to renewing his managerial partnership with Peter Feenan, who is set to be named team manager within the next fortnight.
"I've known Peter for a lot of years," said Gowan. "We worked together at Brandon when we got to the quarter final of the FA Vase.
"It will be Peter's last season in the Northern League before he moves to Spain, so we'll try and help him finish in a blaze of glory."
Feenan has managed several Northern League clubs, and was manager of First Division Morpeth last seaso
