A NEW pensioners' group is holding its first surgery in Redcar next week.
The Cleveland Pensioners' Convention Forum started off in East Cleveland but now takes in the whole of the Teesside area.
It plans to hold a series of drop-in surgeries, the first of which takes place in the office inside Redcar Library on Wednesday, from noon until 2pm.
Forum secretary Mike Findlay, said the surgeries will give people the chance to seek advice and enable them to find out more about the forum's work and aims.
The group is affiliated to the National Pensioners' Convention. Earlier this year it held a rally at Redcar Bowl attended by actor Tony Booth, father-in-law of Prime Minister Tony Blair.
