Durham and District League - Torrential rain interrupted the smooth running of matches with one being abandoned and others cut short to 15 ends. Leeholme, the First Division leaders, took badly to the water in their home game with Pelton Fell and went down to their first defeat of the season.
However they still hold a five point lead at the top, although Mainsforth, who had their game at Shotton postponed, have a match in hand. In the First Division, Langley Park played hosts to King George V, two teams who are desperately trying to find their best form in the early part of the season. A very close, wet encounter ended all square with the visitors just edging through on shots by 53-52.

Second Division unbeaten leaders, Nevilles Cross had their match at Vane Tempest postponed but they still hold a one point lead at the top despite having played a match less than their rivals. Stockton took over second place with a two points win at Trimdon, while Stockton Elm Tree slipped down when they only managed to collect two points from their trip to Wingate in a 15 ends match.
Wingate came through to win 8-2 with a 71-53 shots success.

Despite winning by five points at Wheatley Hill, the former Third Division leaders, Newton Hall slipped into second place behind Murton, who only dropped two points to the visiting Wolsingham. However Newton Hall have a match in hand over Murton.
The much-improved Willington Spectrum continued their move up the table and now share third place with Witton Gilbert following their big home win over Kelloe. Spectrum came through with a 9-1 score and a massive win in shots by 88-16.

Shildon Town A are emerging as the most likely side to challenge Spennymoor A for the title. Spennymoor remain top but Shildon are just three points in arrears with a game in hand.
Four sides have drawn well clear in division two. Jubilee lead on 47 points, Spectrum and Wolsingham have 45 and Langley Park 43.
