AN appeal for volunteers to help a musical spectacular go with a swing has been launched on Teesside.
Banners have been put up in Middlesbrough, Coulby Newham and Redcar, seeking help for The Sounds of The West End Musicals, in aid of Teesside Hospice.
The show is being staged on Saturday, July 21, on a specially constructed set at Middlesbrough Football Club's BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium.
The organisers are appealing for volunteers to help manage the car parks, assist with signposting and bucket collections and other tasks.
In return, the first 100 applicants will receive a free ticket for the event, worth £15.
West End performers will star in the show, singing hits from Phantom of the Opera, Chess, Les Miserables and The Beautiful Game.
Prospective volunteers, who must be 18 or over and be prepared to arrive at the stadium at 4pm on the day of the concert, can call (01642) 659999.
