SHOPPERS at a Darlington supermarket have been test-driving three new types of shopping trolley.
Among the pushers at the town's Safeway store was Flora Barrass, from Bishop Auckland, who won a competition in The Northern Echo with a prize of £100 worth of Italian food and wine from the shop.
The three trolleys, designed by students, were an environmentally friendly "Green Machine", a Lambretta-style Scootertrolley and a circular Threesixty.
The Darlington store was among 13 used in the tests.
