Newly-selected Chief Whip Hilary Armstrong takes time off from the pressures of Government to carry out a commitment in Durham City on Saturday.
The North-West Durham MP will perform the opening of a summer fair in the grounds of St Cuthbert's Hospice.
The fair begins at 1pm and features clog morris dancers, birds of prey, flower arranging demonstrations, helium balloon launch, saxophone music, bouncy castle, garden treasure hunt and a children's entertainer. Admission is 50p
