A youngster with cerebral palsy has been given a helping hand by a North-East car dealership.
Four-year-old Callum Johnson, from Stockton, Teesside, attends a mainstream school, but has trouble with his mobility and balance because of his illness.
He relies on a walking frame, but it prevents him from joining other children in play and physical activities.
In order to help Callum walk on his own, he attends the Lee Sykes National Centre, in Sunderland, for amino acid treatment.
The treatment is not available on the NHS and his parents, Tony and Nicola, have to find the £5,600-a-year required to fund it.
Mr Johnson works in the parts department at the Mercedes-Benz dealership, in Stockton, and, when his bosses heard about Callum's situation, they decided to help.
A weekend of fundraising activities was planned to coincide with the dealership's recent new model launch, and more than £600 was raised by customers and staff.
Callum and his family visited the dealership to thank everyone for their hard work.
Anyone wanting to help Callum can donate money by calling (01642) 677877.
