A 19th century harmonium will travel more than 100 miles to perform in the latest production of one of the North's leading choral societies.
The 120-year-old instrument will be used to accompany the Newcastle Choral Society at a performance of the Rossini mass in St George's Church, Jesmond, Newcastle, on Saturday, June 30.
The harmonium is on loan from the Museum of Victorian Reed Organs and Harmoniums in Saltaire, Yorkshire.
It will be taken to Newcastle in protective storage conditions and tuned at the church just before the performance.
Admission is £8 at the door. The performance starts at 7.30pm.
