THE frontiers of science will be pushed back in a series of lectures at Newcastle University starting today.
The first - on science and ethics of research into genes and behaviour - will be led by Dr Tom Shakespeare, from the university's policy, ethics and life services research institute.
Dr Thalia Eley, an advocate of research into genes and behaviour will be joining him along with Professor Steven Rose, a prominent critic of behavioural genetics. It lasts from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. The next two lectures, under the banner Frontiers of Science, will take place in September and October.
