A MAN nicknamed Tex, who dresses as a cowboy, has handed himself in to police investigating an alleged pub attack.
Officers in Hartlepool have been looking for the man in a cowboy outfit since a pub attack on Saturday when a man was glassed in the throat.
A 46-year-old has now handed himself in at Hartlepool police station, accompanied by a solicitor.
He was bailed to return to the police station next month pending further investigations.
The alleged attack victim, a 41-year-old man who has not been named, needed four pints of blood and emergency surgery after the incident in Midnights bar, in Church Street, at 1.30am on Saturday.
He was rushed to the University Hospital of Hartlepool in a taxi following the attack.
