THE director of a County Durham firm that went into liquidation with debts of more than £43,000 has been disqualified for three years.
Anthony Scott Williams, of Bolton, Lancashire, was disqualified from acting as a company director for his conduct in relation to electrical engineering business Astech Design Services, Newton Aycliffe. It went into liquidation in 1999.
The allegations accepted by Mr Williams included that he allowed Astech to make payment of £7,000 to a connected company, Astech Automation Ltd, at a time when its Crown debts were £30,629.
He also failed to provide the liquidator with evidence to support his overdrawn director's loan account in respect of £5,380 and failed to pay this money to the liquidator.
