Durham County Super League - Aycliffe entertained Durham and got off to their best start of the season taking a 4-1 lead.
Durham then came back to win eight of the last nine frames to win the match 9-5 and maintain their challenge for the league title.
Winners for Aycliffe with two wins were Dave Bromley and one win each for Eddie Mackay, Stuart Neil and Gary Spooner.
Durham had two wins from Gavin West and Chris Bowron, one win each from Michael Rhodes, Andrew Morley, Dave Hodgson, Davey Neill and Paul Shutt. West also won the two outstanding frames for Durham.
In the Bishop Auckland derby it was the A team who came out on top winning the match 10-4. There were two wins each for Chris Peacock, Paul Willey, Andrew Delve, Kevin Stewart and Michael Hoggart.
The B team had two wins from Andrew Tuesday and one win each for David Jacomb and Peter Mernor.
Crook B entertained Chester-le-Street and won 10-4 with two wins from Darren Tinkler, Steve Hunter and Gavin Witton and one win each for Gerald Parkin, Les Scott, David Stephenson and John Warriner. Chester's replies came from Paul Dudding with two wins and one win each for Brian Clamp and Shaun Smith.
Ferryhill beat Crook A 8-6.
Bishop Auckland League
Bishop Auckland Cumberland Arms, who are at the foot of the table, pulled off the surprise of the week when they travelled to possible title challengers, Bishop Auckland King's Head and won when they took the final frame of the captain's game.
In the singles the King's Head had two points for Chris Priestly and Kevin Watson, while the Cumberland went ahead with two points each for Ian Lowes, Dean Nicholson and Paddy Loughran. The King's reduced the arrears when David Jacomb and Kevin Watson won the doubles and then pulled level when Malcolm Parry took the first captain's point against Paddy Loughran. However Loughran took his revenge by taking the second and taking the Comberland to their best win of the season.
There was another surprise when the run-away leaders, Crook Olde Horse Shoe were taken to the decider before winning at Spennymoor Hillingdon. The home side had two points from Mark Frizzell and one each from Ian Smith, Baz Walton and Kevin Waterhouse. The Shoe replied with two points from Gavin Witton and one each from Steve Hunter, Cliff Owens and Les Scott.
Cliff Owens and Steve Hunter won the doubles to push the Shoe ahead but Mark Frizzell took the fist captain's game against Gavin Witton to level the match only to see the tables turned in the second captain's frame when Witton won to take the Shoe to victory.

Willington League
Howden Australian B cut Oakenshaw Club's lead at the top of the table to only one point after they won their away game at Willington Brewer's Droop B. However Oakenshaw have a match in hand. Jeff Sowerby took the only point for the Brewer's when he won his singles, while the Aussie winners were Steven Young, Michael Burke, Paul Davidson, Peter Johnson and Andrew Smith in the singles to go with their three doubles points.
Willington Black Horse Tavern pulled off a good odd point home win over Willington Football Club. The Horse had singles points from Neville Ridley, Craig Eales, Tommy Parkin and Andrew Featherstone while Christopher Heslop and Tony Atkinson replied. The horse went to victory when they took the first doubles through Neville Ridley and Tommy Parkin, while the footballers fought back to take the last two doubles points.

Coxhoe Red Lion pulled off a good away win over Spennymoor Ashtree thanks to a fine performance from their singles players. The home side only took one singles point when Chris Penal won but the Red Lion had points from Tony Sugden, Gary Noddles, Chris Holdsworth and Gary Mullen. The teams shared the doubles before Wayne Firbank closed the gap, beating Tony Sugden in the captain's game.

Tow Law League
Ia top of the table clash, Tow Law Station visited Tow Law New Market B and took all three doubles points after the singles had been shared to move six points clear of their hosts at the top of the table. There were singles wins for the New Market B from David Spencer, Ray Weir and Gary Turnbull with Andrew Burrows, Tommy Sloan and Stephen Turner replying.
Sunniside Comedian came through to a tight odd point victory against the visiting Lanchester King's Head when Paul Moore and Keith Race beat Harry Wales and Martin Brown in the deciding doubles.
There were singles wins for the Comedian from Stephen Wilkinson, Keith Race, Chris Cavagin and John Hildreth, while Martin Clarke and Graeme Thompson replied for the visitors.
Tow Law Black Horse A moved into third place in the table, two points behind Tow Law New Market B after they only dropped two points to their ladies team.
