Seaham Boys Under-12s Football team have been celebrating the end of an enviable season in which they won all 20 of their league fixtures and, ultimately, Division Three of Russell Foster League.
They were presented with their well-deserved trophy at a ceremony held at Sunderland's Stadium of Light.
The youngsters, who are sponsored by Sunderland-based NEMS Warehousing, formed the Under-12s side after manager John Appleby realised that all the local neighbourhood teams only catered for Under-11s.
He said: "The lads and their parents show real commitment to the team and we have had a great season, as well as winning Division Three of the Under-12 league, we got to the quarter-final of the league cup and the quarter final of the County Cup."
NEMS Warehousing stepped in to support the boys, by sponsoring their strip last year and have agreed to continue to support them in the coming season.
Managing Director Charlie Bucknall said: "We were really impressed by the enthusiasm shown by the team and its manager John Appleby so we were delighted to get involved and help the team with sponsorship.
"We are very pleased with the success of Seaham Boys and are delighted to be sponsoring them again next season. As a locally based company we aim to support community ventures of this kind in our local area."
