Andre Agassi made his way into the last 16, beating beleagured Nicolas Massu 6-1 6-3 6-1 on court one today.

Chilean Massu was a mere spectator as Agassi steamrolled his way to a straight sets victory with a devastating display of no-nonsense tennis.

It took Australian Lleyton Hewitt four sets to eventually dispose of Younes El Aynaoui in an exciting game on centre court.

Unseeded El Aynaoui made sure today's game was anything but a foregone conclusion and despite losing the first set 7-5, the Morroccan fought back to claim the second, 7-5.

Hewitt regained his lead in the third, 6-4 and it took a tie break in the final set to book the fifth seed's place in the next round.

Yevgeny Kafelnikov's involvement in this year's Championships ended against the unseeded Argentinean, Guillermo Canas.

Despite taking the first set 6-3, seventh seed Kafelnikov struggled to take any hold on the game, losing the next three sets 6-1 6-3 7-6(2).

Last year's runner-up, Lindsay Davenport made light work of her third round match with Switzerland's Patty Schnyder, to win 6-2 6-3.

Jelena Dokic booked her place in the fourth round with a 6-3 7-5 victory over Austria's Barbara Schett.
