DOZENS of Darlington's older generation will be returning to their younger days in a month of activities for the over-55s.
The Darlington Active Independent and Staying Young (Daisy) scheme will be launched tomorrow.
The launch of the scheme, in the town's Market Place, will also serve as an information day, organised by Darlington Better Government for Older People, which will give the town's older residents the chance to find out about events.
Throughout the month, participants can enjoy a variety of competitions, including baking, embroidery, photography and flower arranging.
During a preview of the event, caf owners and pub landlords in Darlington's Market Place promised to serve up a treat for those at the launch.
Visitors to the event can enjoy discount food and drinks.
Councillor Marian Swift, chair of Darlington Better Government for Older People, said: "We hope many older people will come along and take away information."
