RUNNERS from throughout the region gathered at a stately home for a life-saving run on Saturday.
For the first time this year, the Imperial Cancer Research Fund chose picturesque Ormesby Hall for the Middlesbrough Race For Life.
An estimated 1,300 women of all ages and fitness levels ran, jogged and strolled the 5km course, aimed at raising money for breast cancer research.
The event was also attended by Peter Grant, a presenter on Magic FM radio station and 50 cadets from the Cleveland Army Cadet force.
Every woman who finished the event received a medal, a goody bag and a bottle of water.
