THREE tiny unwanted puppies are looking for a fresh start in life after they were given to a rescue centre.
Bailey, Lucy and Timmy are about eight weeks old. They were taken to the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League's Rescue Centre, near Darlington, after their owners became unable to look after them.
But the carers of the little border collie-cross puppies are keen to find loving homes for them.
One of the litter has already found a new home in Spennymoor, and carers at the rescue centre are eager to find someone with plenty of time to look after the three remaining puppies.
Pauline Wilson, a carer at the rescue centre, said: "They are absolute angels and are incredibly cute. So far, it looks like Bailey is the leader of the pack. But as much as we love them, we are keen to find new homes for them, and ideally a potential owner would be at home a lot to give the puppies plenty of care and attention as they are growing."
Anyone interested in giving one of the puppies a new home can contact the rescue centre on (01325) 321855, or Pauline Wilson on 07748 268822.
