LITHUANIAN students will brush up their English language skills during a visit to Teesside.
Three students from the University of Siauliai have arrived to spend a week as guests of the Rotary Club of Guisborough and Great Ayton.
During the visit, they will work at various schools, or businesses.
Rasa Jurgaityte, a third year economics student, will spend the week at the language department of Laurence Jackson School.
She said: "I hope to learn a lot about the local culture and tell the students something about life in modern Lithuania."
Algirdas Javtokas, also 22, a third year physics student, said he was looking forward to his time at Southeran's stationers. "This will be a new experience." he said.
The third student, Sigita Tamasiunaite, 20, will work at Guisborough's Northgate School.
The trip was organised after a party from the Rotary club contacted the university during a holiday to Lithuania.
"Having met some of the teaching staff at the university, we were delighted to be able to invite a small group of students to visit us," said Ken Harris, the club's president, yesterday.
