THREE more 20mph speed limits are likely to be introduced across the Richmondshire district within the next few months.
North Yorkshire County Council has been asked to look at a list of 13 locations, which could qualify under new regulations introduced by the Government in the late 1990s, in an attempt to cut the number of accidents, particularly around school gates.
However, the authority does not have the money in its budgets to cover the cost of all of them and the Richmondshire Areas Committee will be asked to approve just three today.
A £4,000 scheme on Wavell Road, in Catterick Garrison, another costing £12,000, on School Bank, in Middleton Tyas, and an £8,000 project on Brompton Park, in Brompton-on-Swale are those which officers recommend should be given priority.
