Tim Henman has made it through to the quarter-finals after a five-set thriller with Todd Martin on centre court.

The British number one capped a superb recovery to win 6-7(3) 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3 6-2, setting up a mouth watering tie with Swiss teenager Roger Federer, conqueror of defending champion Pete Sampras yesterday.

Earlier today Jennifer Capriati kept her Grand Slam dream alive with an amazing 6-7 7-5 6-3 Wimbledon victory over Serena Williams.

Capriati, 25, moved into the semi-finals after a stunning Centre Court comeback over the fifth seed.

Williams, 19, took the first set in a tie-break littered with serving errors.

And she appeared to have the Australian and French Open champion on the rack when she broke serve in the third game of the second set.

But third seed Capriati, who was two points away from a quarter-final exit, fought back to win the second set.

Williams - struggling with stomach pains - wilted early in the final set and Capriati booked a semi-final clash against Belgian teenager Justine Henin.

But it wasn't all bad news for the Williams family - defending champion Venus beat Mathalie Tauziat 7-5 6-1 in their quarter-final on Court No1.

Williams struggled to find her form early on but eventually eased past her French opponent.

Justine Henin sealed her place in the last four, blitzing 1994 champion Conchita Martinez in straight sets, 6-0 6-1.
