A SERIES of eye-catching images is to make a real impression on visitors to Hartlepool's Historic Headland.
Four huge posters featuring striking photographs capturing some of the Headland spirit are being set up in Northgate, near the Throston Engine House building.
The 10ft by 20ft posters include photographs of a stained glass window in St Hilda's Church, and views of the colourful painted houses along the Headland coast. They also feature quotations and verses.
The posters have been devised to help mark a multi-million pound regeneration of the area, which is being spearheaded by the North Hartlepool Single Regeneration Budget Partnership.
They have been designed by The Landmark Partnership.
Steve Laws, from the partnership, said: "The posters have been designed to be particularly striking and colourful.
"They are both a celebration of the rich heritage of the Headland and a signpost for the major regeneration work, which is getting under way in the area."
The posters were devised in consultation with the Headland Town Council and Headland residents
