A MAN has appeared in court accused of attempted murder after an alleged doorstep shooting.
Alistair George King, 27, was allegedly hit in the thigh by a single shot when he confronted two men at the door of the terraced home he shares with his partner and their three young children, in Broomside Lane, Belmont, Durham, on April 19.
Alexander Jackson, 21, of Bede Avenue, Sherburn Road Estate, Durham, appeared before Chester-le-Street magistrates.
The hearing was adjourned and he was remanded in custody, to appear before a judge at Durham Crown Court on Friday.
