pupils at a Darlington School are attempting to get into the record books using recycled materials.
A colourful rhinoceros has been taking shape on the playing fields at Abbey Junior School, Darlington, and it may earn pupils a place in the record books.
The rhinoceros is made from recycled materials and will be part of the world's largest money box.
The rhinoceros will be transported to Woburn Safari Park, and will join other jungle animals which have been created at schools across the country. The money box will be unveiled on July 13 with the help of television wildlife star Chris Packham.
Cash collected in the money box will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund which is coordinating campaigns to help save two of Britain's favourite creatures, the bumble bee and the bat.
