A WOMAN had her handbag snatched as she pushed a full shopping trolley back to her car at at the Asda store in Darlington.
The woman had done her shopping at the store in Whinbush Way, and was pushing the trolley back to her car in the store car park, with her bag resting on top, at 7.50pm on Monday.
A dark blue Vauxhall Astra car, stolen in Middlesbrough earlier the same day, pulled alongside.
Two men jumped out and grabbed the trolley from the woman's hands, before stealing her bag and making off in the car.
One of the men is described at 24, 5ft 9in and of medium build. He had mousey coloured hair and a fair moustache and was wearing a denim jacket and baseball cap.
The second man was aged about 19, and was wearing a black baseball cap.
Although the woman was not injured in the robbery, she was left shaken.
