PUB performers are hoping to hit the right note with a charity concert.
Top Middlesbrough band, Raised on Rusks, will play at Liberty's, on Friday, in a bid to raise money for The Cancer Research Campaign.
The gig includes the band's favourite unplugged and rock songs. It was inspired by the loss of drummer Dennis Johnson's mother, Irene, to cancer.
Mr Johnson said: "After watching mam suffer with cancer and finally losing her battle, we were determined to do whatever we could to help prevent other people going through the pain and anguish she did."
The Cancer Research Campaign's events fundraiser, Jill Collier, said: "It should be a fabulous evening of music from the Rusks."
Tickets for the event, priced at £5 including a pie and pea supper, are available from Middlesbrough Music Shop, Bandland, in Stockton, or by calling (01642) 270681
