SALTBURN In Bloom is gearing up for the seaside town's annual entry into the national competition.
The Victorian town has had several successes in the competition in the past - including at Washington DC and Japan and hopes to repeat that success this year.
The judging for Northumbria In Bloom takes place at 10am on Friday, July 13 and the tidy town litter pick is from 10am until 1pm this Saturday, and the evenings of next Wednesday and Thursday.
Rubbish skips will be available outside Somerfield car park, Ox Close Cottage and Emmanuel Church car park from Friday until next Thursday, for people to help keep the town tidy.
The national judging takes place on Monday, August 13, at 2pm.
To help raise funds for the group, car boot sales take place every Sunday from 9.30am until 4pm, at Somerfield car park.
