A SOCIAL club for people with learning disabilities has been given an £1,800 gift from supermarket chain Somerfield.
The Bishop Auckland Gateway Club has 55 members and is based at King James I Community Association. It has a junior section which meets on Mondays, while seniors attend on Wednesdays .
Club spokesperson Lindsey Moses said the money from Somerfield would be spent on running costs, transport and social activities.
