Rosberry Group North East Durham League - North Bitchburn totalled just 64 all out visiting Sunderland Hospital in Division One.
Their batsmen found the bowling of John Surtees and Wayne Shaw, in particular, difficult to deal with and the two home attackers each claimed three wickets.
Batting first, Hospitals realised 193 for four from their 45 overs as the runs flowed from Michael Robbie, whose 70 included nine boundaries, and John Surtees (36), the pair added 107 runs for the opening partnership and eventually a total of 193 for four was achieved.
Plawsworth romped to 249 for seven at Littletown where Graham Taylor top scored with 48 including seven boundaries. Andrew Burrell added 47 and Ian Pratt 44 while for Littletown Jimmy Ricketts took five of the wickets to fall for 104 runs in a lengthy spell of 23 overs bowling unchanged from one end.
Little town put up a spirited reply but when their 45 overs expired they had made only 227 for six leaving Plawsworth winners by 22 runs.
Mark Nixon recorded one six and 16 boundaries in 101 and Chris Davies added 51 with six fours. Best of the Plawsworth bowlers was Peter Harwood with figures of four for 60 in 17 overs.
Medomsley had 67 runs to spare over Coxhoe after posting 203 for nine which included 61 by Milburn and 41 from Ringer. Broomfield, with figures of four for 73 and Strange, three for 75, were the bowlers in form for Coxhoe who replied with 136 all out including 44 by Fairbrother.
Richardson and Dixon both captured three wickets for Medomsley.
Belford House totalled 125 for nine defeating Wearmouth by 16 runs. Dhillon returned five for 56 in the Wearmouth attack and replying the visitors were all out for 109 which included 33 by Colin Davison. Steve Wright with three for 28 and Gordon Havelock (3-32) both bowled well for Belford House.
In Division Two Tantobie had seven wickets to spare at home to East Rainton, the visitors were all out in 22.4 overs for just 91 runs which included 36 not out by Fred Long, who recorded seven fours. David Brown was in splendid form for Tantobie, taking six wickets for 41 runs in 11 overs and when the home side replied they conceded just three wickets as they the necessary runs in 28 overs. Their top performer with the bat was Richard Bell whose unbeaten 58 included three sixes and six boundaries.
Belmont saw off the challenge of Burnhope by 79 runs. Batting first Belmont realised 151 mainly due to the efforts of Steele (30) and Davison (32) while for Burnhope Spark had four for 42 and Morrison three for 42.
Responding, Burnhope were all out for 72 with no fewer than 38 of the runs coming from opening batsman Allen. Welsh returned the outstanding figures of five for 16 and Peacock took three for 35 in the Belmont attack.
Kelloe were back in the pavilion for just 86 runs as Murray claimed four for 34, this after Coundon had posted a healthy 185. Bell was in splendid form for Coundon striking 50 before being stumped and Liddle (34) and Eales (31) also gave valuable support in the early order before Rodgerson carried his bat for 36.
Hughes (3-65) an Turnbull with three for 40 were the pick of the Kelloe bowlers. Newton Aycliffe ended with 180 for nine from their 45 overs visiting Washington. Williams top scored with 61 and Roberts added 34 while Washington Brown claimed four wickets for 34 runs. Replying, Washington were all out for 65 as Davison returned the magnificent figures of six for 11
