TWO boys have been charged in connection with an incident at Howdon in North Tyneside in May when five teenagers became ill after taking drugs and alcohol.
The pair were among six boys, aged between 13 and 16, who responded to bail at Wallsend Police Station on Saturday.
A 13-year-old boy was charged under the Offences Against the Person Act 1961 and a 15-year-old boy was charged with possession of controlled drugs.
They have both been bailed and will appear before North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on July 17.
No charges were made against the other four youths.
