A SUCCESSFUL decorating course has proved so popular that it has been extended.
The course called Old Furniture Into New started with the donation of some old chairs, which have since been transformed by the women taking part.
The course is run by Linda Barton and funded by Stockton Borough Council and the European Social Fund.
It has proved so popular that it has now been expanded with two courses running in Roseworth and another at the Willows Centre, in Stockton.
Project coordinator Margot Wade said: "The women who have come to the course are really surprised by what they have done and are proud of their achievements.
"Most are complete novices and can't wait to learn more at the following session."
The course is part of the Championing Women's Learning Project, which aims to give women the opportunity to gain confidence and learn skills.
A year-long course is planned for September and anyone wanting to take part can call (01642) 393575
