A GROUP of fundraisers has given a helping hand to a rescue service suffering from the foot-and-mouth crisis.
The Soroptimists International of Cleveland raised £150 for the Cleveland Search and Rescue Team, which has had £8,000 less income this year, due to restrictions on upland areas.
As a charitable organisation, the team gets most of its revenue from organising fund raising walks.
The Saltburn Soroptimists raised their donation at a coffee morning after hearing of the team's plight. They have selected it as their annual charity, and hope to raise an extra £500 before the end of the year.
