A 39-YEAR-OLD is recovering in Darlington Memorial Hospital after being assaulted in his home.
The man, from John Street, Shildon, suffered serious facial injuries in the early hours of last Friday morning.
A 35-year-old woman has been arrested and questioned by police at Newton Aycliffe. She has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
