CHILDREN from a North Yorkshire school have been given an insight into the lives of others not as fortunate as themselves.
The youngsters from Colburn Primary had already done their bit towards improving the lot of children lucky enough to be given a place at the Amala home in southern India.
A cheque for £300 was handed to representative Kim Pollit during assembly after a series of fundraising events.
All money donated goes directly to the project, which is deepening wells to improve water supplies hit by droughts.
Information about the charity is available by writing to Mill House, West Burton, Leyburn, North Yorkshire DL8 4JP.
