CYCLISTS Alex Bussey and Martin Appleyard are tackling the ultimate challenge in aid of cancer charities.
The ambitious pair, from Minskip, near Boroughbridge, are raising money for the Committee for Cancer Projects by cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats.
The group was set up by their friend Angela Feather, whose daughter Helen and grandson Oliver, were both diagnosed with cancer.
Money will go to the Cancer Vaccine Institute and chemotherapy research at Barts Hospital, London.
Mr Bussey and Mr Appleyard are setting off on Sunday from Land's End and hope to complete the challenge on July 25.
Anyone wanting to sponsor the pair can send cheques made payable to the Committee for Cancer Projects to Minskip Grange Cottage, Minskip, North Yorkshire, YO51 9JF.
