FIREFIGHTERS will open their station for the day to help raise money to send two youngsters on a holiday of a lifetime.
Bishop Auckland Fire Station opens its doors from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, to help raise money to send Kyle and Amy Jameson to Disneyland with their family.
The youngsters, from Bishop Auckland, suffer a form of muscular dystrophy, and their family has set up a fund to send them to the theme park for a holiday.
Saturday's event will be opened by Bishop Auckland MP Derek Foster and will include a host of entertainment, including a bouncy castle, face painting and a balloon race.
Local businesses have given prizes for a raffle and tombola, and vintage fire engines will also be on display, plus police and ambulance service stalls.
Entry is 50p and proceeds will be divided between the Fire Service Benevolent Fund and the Kyle and Amy Jameson Fund
