Police are appealing for help and attempting to track down two men after a savage attack on a teenage boy.
The 15-year-old was assaulted in Thirsk early last Wednesday evening and detectives hope the public can help them trace two men they need to speak to.
The incident happened between 6pm and 7pm near Millgate and Marage Road and only sketchy details were released today.
Two men are being sought. One is about 50, around 6ft tall with short grey hair, a white shirt with black checks and green trousers. The other was aged between 30 and 40, of unshaven appearance and wearing a top of a velvety material.
If anybody believe they know either of the men described or anything about the incident is asked to ring police on (01609) 783131.
Police would also like to speak to a woman on a yellow bicycle who pedalled through the area at the time.
