A SHOOTING competition has been held in memory of a gun club member who died last year.
Bishop Auckland and District Gun Club wanted to pay tribute to Harry Humble, whose dedication helped keep the club going.
Mr Humble owned Askford Garage, Shildon.
Club chairman Peter Dowson said: "When we moved to our new place on Tindale Crescent Industrial Estate it had to be knocked down and rebuilt and Harry was there all hours.''
The memorial competition has also raised £300 for the Coronary Care Unit at Bishop Auckland Hospital.
His wife Doris, son Paul and daughter Donna attended the presentation of the trophy to competition winner Martin Howe.
