THREE youths were disturbed after they started a fire on a housing estate which is under construction.
A security guard spotted the trio who quickly made off from the Psimon Homes Oakfield Lodge estate, in the Cockerton area of Darlington, at around 7.30pm on Thursday.
He then discovered the blaze in the living room area of one of the houses being built and called the fire brigade who arrived and extinguished the flames.
One of the youths was described as 15 to 16-years, 5ft 9ins tall, male, white, with short ginger hair, a thin face and wearing dark clothes.
The other two were described as being around 5ft 7ins tall, about 15-years-old, with dark hair.
Smoke and fire damage was caused to the inside of the building.
