The final stages of the competition were played at Tennis World in Middlesbrough on Wednesday with Cleadon Primary School finishing as winners.
The Tyne & Wear-based school won the Year Three (eight-year-olds and under) by securing just three points more than nearest challengers, Whinstone Primary School of Stockton.
The successful Cleadon players were: Matthew Gardner, Alistair Peel, Alex Constantine, Joshua Walker, Rachel Miller, Rachel Stevenson, Jennifer Anderson, Melissa Newton and Morgan Parker.
Over 40 schools from all over Durham and Cleveland took part in the competition, with the number being whittled down to eight in time for Wednesday's event.
Lawn Tennis Association County Mini Tennis Coaches, Barbara Borwell and Jim Carroll devised and co-ordinated the event with the help of Local Authority Sports Development teams and LTA coaches.
Results: 1st Cleadon (Tyne & Wear) 124 points; 2nd Whinstone (Stockton) 121; joint 3rd Lingfield (Middlesbrough) 114, Nunthorpe (Redcar & Cleveland) 114; joint 5th Avenue (Middlesbrough) 110, Shincliffe (Co. Durham) 110; 7th Biddick (Tyne & Wear) 105; 8th Broadway (Sunderland) 104.
