YOUNG musicians in North Yorkshire are to take part in a British premiere next week.
North Yorkshire Schools Symphony Orchestra and Big Band will perform Endler's Sinfonia 14 in E flat, as part of the programme for the concert at the Royal Hall, in Harrogate, on Thursday.
Conductor Simon Wright has won considerable respect and acclaim for his interpretations of a wide range of orchestral and choral pieces.
The programme will also feature a miscellany of big band music from the 1940s to the present day, Bruck's Violin Concerto No 1 in G minor and Beethoven's Symphony Number Seven.
The musicians are taken from schools and colleges across North Yorkshire, including schools in Bedale, Filey, Scarborough, Harrogate, Pickering, Malton, Northallerton, Richmond, Ripon, Skipton, Stokesley, Thirsk and Whitby.
