MORE teams are joining the newly-established IT Sports Harrogate and District Junior Squash League next season.
Last season the league had 20 sides. But before a ball has been struck for the new term more than 30 teams have joined and others are expected.
League secretary Dave Cockle said the outlook was "very encouraging."
Although the league made a financial loss last season this was due to one-off overheads in buying new trophies for annual competition.
Following a meeting of league officials annual team fees have been increased from £5 to £10 and teams will play on Saturday afternoons rather than Sundays. The new season will start on October 6 and an end of season tournament will be organised.
Teams from a wide area of North Yorkshire will be competing and any sides wishing to join should contact Mr Cockle on 01423 340367.
